William, Month Eight

After last month's many new developments (sitting, crawling, standing), this month was relatively quiet.  William got much faster at both crawling and cruising, but there weren't very many big "firsts."  However, he continues to get more and more involved in what's around him, especially playing with his pets and siblings.

William is eating more and more "real" foods, like whole fruits and vegetables, string cheese, eggs, pancakes, and his favorite, French fries.

He also loves toys, including the activity cube he got last year from Santa (when he was two days old):

He also loves going to the park, particularly sandboxes and swings:

And playing in the backyard with his brother and Cromwell:

One sad first this month was his first trip to the ER (and hopefully last) after he took a bad fall and landed on his face, injuring his nose and mouth.  Happily it was nothing too serious - he bruised his nose and tore the frenulum that attaches your upper lip to your gums, so he was swollen and bloody but basically okay.  The hardest part of the whole thing was the 3.5 hours we spent in the waiting room.

Unfortunately these types of accidents keep happening to William because he is always pushing himself, trying to keep up with Beatrice and Arthur, and eager to be a big kid.
