Beatrice's dictated letter to Santa*:
Dear Santa,
I want to bring you a letter. What's your name? My name is Beatrice. Imagine Dr. Panda at the beach: waves, boats, water, sand, the letter E. I would like a red scooter please, just like this [red] pen. I want to name you Star. Happy Birthday! Grandpa doesn't know that he likes eating apples and he doesn't, they are often too squishy. I like your red clothing, it's beautiful. Rudolph, I want to give you cake. I like your scarf, it's beautiful. How is your wife? I am married to Donovan. Arthur would like a tree for Christmas. I would like a scooter, and a small noisemaker in addition. I don't know, but I think your coat is not beautiful, it's just red, it's not rainbow. Happy Vet animals have four problems ...
[This is where I cut her off and told her she had to finish up]
Merry Christmas! Goodbye
Beatrice
Here is last year's letter by comparison. Her vocabulary has increased but her discursive style has stayed pretty much the same.
*Abridged, because she was talking too much and too fast for me to get it all down.
