Happy Easter!

His mouth is full of chocolate mini eggs.
This was a pretty laid-back Easter weekend.  Yesterday we went to the official Burbank city Easter egg hunt.  Today the kids hunted in the backyard to find the baskets where the Easter Bunny had hidden them.

In Beatrice's basket she found:

A game of Pick Up Sticks
Two card games: Go Fish and Bata-Waf
Temporary tattoos
Bubbles
A magnifying glass
Two parachute men
A chocolate rabbit and some chocolate eggs
A bird whistle
A wooden car
Sidewalk chalk
A toy boat
A container of sparkly body lotion

Arthur's basket contained:

A dinosaur projector/flashlight
Bubbles
A magnifying glass
Crayons
Two parachute men
A balsa wood glider
A bird whistle
A chocolate rabbit and some chocolate eggs
A toy boat
Sidewalk chalk
A wooden slide whistle
A book about a hedgehog

Looking very serious

(I know it sounds like a lot but almost all the items were $1.  Small Christmas stocking and Easter basket items are my favorite things to buy.)

Arthur's favorite was definitely the hedgehog book that Dev picked out for him; Beatrice loved her card games and magnifying glass; and of course they both loved the chocolate rabbits.

Then we went to the park and played for a few hours, even after it started to rain.

Finally Arthur napped while Beatrice and I dyed Easter eggs.  We used the shaving cream technique to marbleize the eggs.
