Where We Are Now

For those keeping track, we've been in our new house for more than two years now (though it still feels new to us) and as of now -

 

Things we've finished:

Kids' Room*

Hallway

Guest Bedroom*

Guest Bathroom
Front yard landscaping

 

Things we're currently working on:

Backyard landscaping

Garage workshop/Dev's office
My office/craft area
Living room
Back patio room

 

Things we haven't even started yet:

Kitchen

Laundry room

Master bedroom

Master bathroom
House exterior (stucco, paint, etc.)

 

The next major project we hope to tackle is removing all the "popcorn" from the living room ceiling, putting up trim, painting, and installing floor-to-ceiling book shelves along the wall behind the sofa.  I'd like to start that project by November, budget allowing.  Until then we can keep ourselves busy with plenty of other, smaller projects, not to mention Halloween.

*Well, technically we still need to refinish the floors in these rooms, but I'm counting them as finished for now. Also, we'll be converting the guest bedroom into a nursery soon, but that just means new furniture, all the paint and trim and things will stay the same.
