We arrived in Reno on Wednesday afternoon to visit my parents, Gillian, and her boyfriend Sam. We only stayed three days but in that time we took the kids to Reno's excellent children's museum, to an indoor playground, to the marina, and to several parks and duck ponds, plus visits to see where my parents work, some of their favorite restaurants, etc.
Unfortunately we didn't get too many clear photos but my parents did take a few.

Then on Friday we headed down to San Jose to visit Sam and Lilli in time for Sam's 33rd birthday. We spent the night with them - and their adorable brand new German shepherd puppy, Ada - and on Saturday we met a bunch more Caltech friends at Sam's party, where we also roasted a whole pig.

We got home well after midnight on Saturday night, just in time to watch the clocks spring forward. Spring! It's already in the 70s here and everything is blooming.
