After the exciting but sometimes chaotic time we spent with four kids and seven adults in Austin, Dallas was a calm respite. Beatrice and Arthur returned to their regular nap schedules and having Suzan and Naresh around meant that Dev and I got to go out twice just the two of us! Once to a movie and once, yes, to a gun show, but even a gun show is fun if you get to go without kids.
Of course we did several group outings too, including trips to the Dallas Arboretum (where Suzan and I talked gardening and made landscaping plans for our house) and the Dallas Aquarium.

We also spent plenty of time in the pool.

Mamo enjoyed catching up with Arthur whom she hadn't seen since he was only seven months old - he's grown a lot since then!
Suzan also took me to all the best antique home furnishing stores in Dallas - she's an expert - and with her help I bought two absolutely gorgeous antique chandeliers. I'll post photos of them once they're properly installed in our house, but the small Art Deco glass chandelier, in particular, is a stunner.
We were only in Dallas for three days and the time went too fast, but on Tuesday morning we packed up and headed out again, this time for Santa Fe.
